Hi, just wanted to mention this for those of you not on the ROOT
mailing lists:
ROOT 5.08 was released today. This is interesting because it is the
first version of ROOT 5 that CERN has declared to be a "production"
release as opposed to a "development" release.
This was our initial criteria for even considering moving to ROOT 5,
so if anyone out there has a good reason to want to move forward, we
can now think about it (obviously this is post RAT 0.1).
